Globalstar Interactive Kiosk and Sales Presentation

Globalstar is a satellite telecommunications company that is in a race to deploy a constellation of 48 satellites in order to achieve a worldwide telephone coverage by the year 1999. Globalstar needs to create awareness of their services to the telecommunications world as well as the end user. 1998 is a very important year for Globalstar and they need to make a big impact in several key trade shows.

An interactive kiosk was developed that focused on the key attributes of the service and company. These highly engaging kiosks contained animations that showed the system in operation, location video from around the world and QuickTime VR models of the handsets and satellites that the viewer could interact with. The project was first launched at CeBit in Germany in March of 98. It will be shown in at least 4 other major trade shows in 98 and has been used in many sales presentations across the world.

The booth was designed with an consistent design theme to complement all of the elements. At the front of the booth a 5 panel video wall played to attract attention and invite viewers into the booth were they could interact with the kiosks and talk to the Globalstar staff.
