Timberland wanted a touch
screen kiosk for it's retail outlets that would provide customers with
both product and company information and function as a company training
platform for new employees.
A Custom software application was written to access
a central database of products that could be updated easily. Changes to
the database would effect the interactive presentation as well as Timberland's
web site.
This presentation has successfully met three basic needs:
- It has been used in company retail locations as
a touch screen kiosk.
- It has also been loaded onto laptop computers that
the sales force has used to sell products to retail buyers.
- Thirdly, it is used as a Training Platform for
Timberland employees to learn about the product line as well as company
background.
